STELLRAM TOOLING SYSTEMS...FOR YOUR DRILLING REQUIREMENTS!

Stellram is preparing one of its biggest product launches ever.  Grade SC1519 is a new grade for both ductile and gray cast irons.  The new grade uses a new multi-layer CVD coating process to provide wear and heat resistance while maintaining toughness.
A new geometry called 4U is available in this grade.  This new negative geometry reduces cutting forces and subsequently the machine power requirements compared to flat-top inserts.  A number of flat top styles are available for roughing, heavy interruption and excessive scale.

The application is general purpose drilling 0.984" - 4.488" diameter.  The advantages are: (1) new geometry improves chip control; (2) corner radii increase tool life and minimize exit burrs; (3) corner radii improve heat dissipation and finish; (4) ideal for tough applications; (5) new PVD coating and new substrate allow higher penetration rates.
